Reports & Disclosure
Transparency in action
We publish annual sustainability reports to share our progress, challenges and commitments. We believe in being transparent about our journey.
Our reporting suite brings together the information stakeholders need to assess KPC's sustainability performance. It includes the annual sustainability report, performance data, content indices, methodology notes and assurance statements.
Access current and previous publications to review our targets, annual progress and historical trends. We aim to present a balanced view of performance, including achievements, challenges, data limitations and the actions we are taking to improve.

GRI Content Index
Our disclosures are structured with reference to the GRI Standards, including sector-specific guidance for oil and gas. The GRI Content Index helps users navigate governance, strategy, stakeholder engagement and topic-specific disclosures covering emissions, energy, water, waste, safety, employment, human rights, anti-corruption and economic performance.
Where information is still being improved, we will clearly indicate data limitations and the steps being taken to strengthen future disclosure. This supports transparent reporting while our systems mature.
Report parameters & assurance statement
This section sets out the scope, boundaries and reporting period covered by our sustainability disclosures, currently 1 July 2025 to 30 June 2026, covering KPC PLC, KPRL and the Morendat Institute of Oil and Gas along with the methodologies used to calculate key environmental, social and governance indicators, following the GHG Protocol Corporate and Scope 3 Standards.
Our FY2025/26 disclosures are verified through Internal Audit review and Executive Management oversight. Consistent with our disclosure roadmap, we plan to obtain external limited assurance over our Scope 1 and Scope 2 GHG emissions from FY2027/28, applying ISO 14064-3 and ISAE 3000/ISSA 5000 assurance standards in future reporting, a deliberate, phased approach to building assurance maturity as a newly listed issuer. We welcome stakeholder feedback on our reporting approach as we continue strengthening our data systems ahead of external assurance.
Additional standards & frameworks
As an NSE-listed issuer, our sustainability disclosures are governed by four interlocking frameworks. The GRI Standards, including the sector-specific GRI 11: Oil and Gas Standard, define what we report on emissions, spills, water, waste, biodiversity, safety and community impact. The IFRS S1 and S2 Sustainability Disclosure Standards (ISSB) require us to connect climate and sustainability risks to our financial position, strategy and targets. The NSE ESG Disclosures Guidance Manual sets the Exchange's expectations for listed issuers, and the CMA Code of Corporate Governance Practices governs how our Board oversees ESG and discloses material information to the market.
We also reference the SASB Midstream Oil & Gas Standard for sector-specific financial materiality, the GHG Protocol for emissions accounting, and align our climate strategy with the Science Based Targets initiative, Kenya's NDC 3.0, the Long-Term Low Emission Development Strategy 2050, and the Paris Agreement.
